With great pleasure, I welcome you to Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, sector 26, Chandigarh. Established in 1973 by the Sikh Educational Society, Guru Gobind Singh College for Women has stepped into the 50th year of its glorious existence. The college has grown and evolved to become one of the esteemed and prestigious colleges of Punjab University.

The spirit of the College comes alive in its motto, SHUBH KARMAN TE KABHUN NA TARON, implying ’never to stray from the path of righteousness.’ Catering to the all-round development of its students, the College fosters in the young minds the spirit of healthy nationalism, secularism, social responsibility, moral uprightness, feelings of compassion and love, care for environment, and above all a life of service and sacrifice as exemplified by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Be it academics, extra-curricular or co-curricular activities, GGSCW consistently works to provide its students with stimulating teaching-learning experience augmented with Value Added Certificate courses, outreach programs and opportunities for placement.

Being a multi-faculty institute of Higher Learning with exceptionally well-qualified teaching faculty, we constantly work towards the holistic development of our students and aim at honing their skills to make them confident and successful individuals of tomorrow.
