OBJECTIVES:

Knowing more about the ‘Self’.

Self Evaluation of ones thoughts and actions.

Develop the capacity for self reflection and personal integration.

Capacity to establish peace with oneself.

 

OUTCOMES:

1. Scientific measurement of an understanding of Self leading to happiness

2. Empirical evaluation of Self concept and understanding the role of parenting and peer

group in development of Self concept

3. Handling Identity crisis

4. Understanding the role of self- care for a happy and fruitful life.

Self Awareness: Definition, Benefits of Self Awareness and tips to improve Self

Awareness.

Ego and Self Esteem

Role of Parenting and Peers in developing Self and Understanding others.

Unit-II

Self Concept; Definition and Types of Self Concept

Role of Parenting/ peers in developing Self.

Self efficacy: meaning, types and its significance

Ways to improve self efficacy

Unit III 

Identity: Development of Identity, Causes of Identity Crisis.

Emotional Wellbeing: Concept, Application of emotional wellbeing

Self Care and Happiness, Benefits of Self care, Relationship between Self care and

Happiness

Questionnaire : On Self Concept

Volunteering in different activities( Organizing Various Activities for the center)

Observing others( Sample Checklist will be provided)

Unit-III

Privilege for Sale( activity will be performed with 2 groups)

Group 1 will have the list of privileges

Group 2 will have money coupons

Each participant from group I will have to buy 2-3 privileges from group 1

Art Therapy in developing Self

Watching a Movie together and Reviewing it.

Sensory Development : Baking, reading a book, making sculptures, painting

Behaviour Change plan

30 day Happiness Challenge: 1 activity each day

 

Assessment: 100 marks

Written Exam: MCQ: 50 marks

Research based Assessment: 30 marks

Activity based assessment: 20 markss
