Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh held its 42nd Convocation for the academic session 2021-2022 and Annual Prize Distribution for the session 2022-23. A total of 390 students received their degrees, of which 356 belonged to Graduate courses of BA, BCom, BCA and BSc and 34 to Post-Graduate courses of MA English, MA Economics and M.Com. Prof. Amrik Singh Ahluwalia, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Eternal University, Baru Sahib, H.P. graced the occasion as the chief guest and Ms. Madhu Preet Kaur, a National level Volleyball player and an alumna of the College was the guest of honour. Prof. Ahluwalia congratulated all the students on this momentous occasion. During his address, he laid stress on Guru Nanak Dev's teaching about empowerment, the importance of women empowerment in the present along with academic excellence and co-curricular proficiency. Prof. Ahluwalia motivated the students to be more ambitious and focussed and to become a contributor in the society rather than a mere consumer. He also congratulated the College on the completion of 50 glorious years in the field of education. The academic procession was led by S. Gurdev Singh, President, Sikh Educational Society (SES).
During the prize distribution, 201students were felicitated with an award and cash prize of which 32 students received the prize for their academic excellence, 26 students received trophies for their sports achievements, 62 for cultural and 81 for co-curricular activities. Arshmeet Kaur was adjudged the Best Outgoing Student, Prabhjot Kaur bagged the Best All-Round Student, Devika won the Best NCC Cadet and Shivanshi won the Best Outgoing Sports Woman of the year. The winner of Youth World Boxing Championship 2022, Ravina, a first year student was also felicitated for her amazing achievement. Ms. Madhu Preet Kaur also conferred an academic scholarship of Rs. 25000 to Varsha, a second year student.

Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh held its 41st Convocation for the Academic Sessions 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. A total of 492 students received their degree during the convocation. Honourable Mr Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh graced the occasion as the chief guest and congratulated all the students on the special occasion which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During his address, Honourable Mr Justice Grewal talked about the role of women in society, importance of their education as well as their resilience and confidence. He even talked about the increasing participation of women within the judiciary with them securing 60-70% seats at the entry level itself. He laid a special stress on the importance of teachers and urged students to become independent, trace new paths for themselves, inculcate sports in their lives, work towards saving the environment while following the path of Guru Nanak Dev's teachings. Honourable Mr Justice Grewal also congratulated the College on the completion of 50 Glorious Years in the field of education. The academic procession was led by S. Gurdev Singh, President SES and Col. (Retd.) J.S. Bala, Secretary SES.

The Hockey Club team of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh won laurels in the Senior State Women Championship Tournament. The Championship Tournament was held at Hockey Stadium, Sector 42, Chandigarh from 1st-6th April, 2023. The College club team beat Panjab University club team, with a final score of 4-0, to win the gold medal.
