As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the VADA Club organized a Tree Plantation Drive, promoting a dual mission: creating a drug-free society and conserving the environment. The initiative brought together students, faculty members, and the Principal, who collectively planted saplings within the campus.

This symbolic act represented growth, positivity, and a commitment to a healthier future. The event highlighted the interconnectedness of nurturing nature and nurturing minds, emphasizing the importance of both in building a progressive nation.

By combining environmental conservation with social responsibility, the VADA Club reinforced its dedication to fostering a holistic approach to development.

 VADA Club of Guru Gobind Singh College for women, in collaboration with the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, successfully organized a mass pledge against drug abuse. Approximately 500 students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff participated in this initiative.

The event aimed to raise awareness among newly admitted students about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of staying away from it. The VADA Club's mandate was highlighted, and participants were encouraged to spread the message in their communities.

This collective effort underscores the institution's commitment to promoting a healthy and drug-free environment, empowering individuals to make informed choices and contribute to a larger social caused.
 

The Transgender Cell of the College, in collaboration with the Transgender Cell and in association with the Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration, organized an awareness lecture titled “Transgender are Not Different”.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Amit, Counsellor, Transgender Protection Cell, Chandigarh, who sensitized the audience on the challenges faced by transgender individuals in society. He emphasized the importance of empathy, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all, regardless of gender identity.

The event witnessed active participation from students, teaching and the non-teaching staff, of the college.

Principal Dr. Jatinder Kaur commended the initiative and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Anju Bala and Mr. Harman Singh Sian, Coordinators, and Dr. Savneet, Counsellor Transgender Cell of the college for their dedicated work in promoting social awareness and inclusivity.
