Guru Gobind Singh College for Women Bagged First Prize for "Best Maintained Campus" title in Rose Fest 2020.

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce of GGSCW-26, in collaboration with the College Development Council (CDC), Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a One Day National Seminar on Digitalization in Global Market: Challenges and Opportunities on February 26, 2020 at Mata Ganga Auditorium.  

The seminar was graced by eminent personalities and dignitaries. The Chief Guest Dr. (Prof) Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh, The Guest of Honour, Dr.(Prof) Sanjay Kaushik, Dean, College Development Council, Panjab University, S. Gurdev Singh, IAS (Retd.), President, S.E.S., Col. (Retd) J.S. Bala, Secretary S.E.S. were the integral part of the event. The Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur welcomed everyone and extended a floral welcome to the distinguished dignitaries.

MAKING A MARK IN KHELO INDIA UNIVERSITY GAMES-2020 Deepali Attri of BA-I won a silver medal in 50mt. Back stroke Swimming Competition under the able guidance of her coach Sardar Parminder Singh, in KHELO INDIA UNIVERSITY GAMES, being held in Bhubaneswar. Four Volleyball Players of the College--Shweta, Kashish, Kunjana and Reena bagged silver medals during the games. An ex- Student of the College Tanya Chopra has been selected to represent Indian Aerobics Gymnasts Team in the 16th FIG Championship to be held at Baku(Azerbaijan). The Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur congratulated the students on their grand success.
GGSCW Volunteers visit to Raipur Khurd Village under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan
The 6th International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June, 2020 by the NSS volunteers with great enthusiasm. This year the theme of the Yoga Day was “Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family”. 100 NSS volunteers participated and demonstrated various ‘Asans’ with their families and shared pictures and videos. A webinar was also organized on “Igniting Passion and Eliminating Stress with Yoga”. The webinar was conducted by Ms. Tanvi Sukhija , HR Professional and Life Coach with Art of Living on Google Meet. She focused on how philosophy of yoga can help in leading healthy, happy and stress free life and also discussed the importance of Satvik Aahar ( Good and Nutritious Diet). The power point presentation and various posters on Yoga were also presented by the volunteers. Regards Team NSS
