Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment & accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposed that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women is the central system that promotes ‘quality culture’ within the institution by developing mechanisms and procedures to help the institution to grow exponentially. Formed in accordance with the guidelines and norms set by NAAC, it tries to ensure that quality is strictly maintained, sustained and augmented by taking the needs of all the stakeholders into consideration. The college envisions a holistic development of the students so that they become empowered citizens and contribute to the development of the nation. IQAC plays the key role in designing and operationalizing all such endeavours that cater to the progress of the institution, upgradation in the knowledge base and skills of the members of teaching faculty and non-teaching staff and wholesome development of the students. The Cell aims to develop higher and higher quality benchmarks by stating the parameters that govern and ascertain the actualization of the established goals and objectives of the institution in the direction of the realization of its mission.
